Voice over
As part of our film trailer we decided that we wanted to use a voice over to act as an additional voice so it wasn't the actors simply talking the whole time. To do this we used a voice recording device, we had to search for the correct voice needed. We decided it would be best to have a female voice over as it needed to be sad in order to best suit our trailer. We then edited the voice to go in rhythm with our trailer. The scripe read:
- Its like your screaming but noone can hear
- You almost feel ashamed that someone can be that important
- That without them you feel nothing can save you
- Noone will ever understand how much it hurts
- You feel hopeless like nothing can save you
- And when its all over and its gone, you almost wish you could have that bad stuff back just so you can have the good
Permission for recording
One of our main actors in our film was under the age of 18 so we felt it was appropriate that we asked for her parents permission so they are aware we are recording for coursework purposes only. We did this in a letter to her parents and within the letter included a contract which is proof that they allowed their child to be recorded for coursework purposes only and if they did not wish for their daughter to be recorded they did not have to reply. Here is a version of the letter we sent them.

I am writing to ask for your permission to use your daughter as one of the main characters in our trailer for our media coursework. Below is a contract which is proof that you willingly accepted your daughter to be recorded for a school coursework purpose.

I give permission for the recording of my daughter to be allowed for school coursework only. I acknowledge this is proof I have been asked permission and understand it is for a school coursework purpose.
